01 / MICRONEEDLING
For people exploring smoother-looking texture, softer-looking fine lines or less noticeable acne scars, microneedling may be worth discussing with a qualified practitioner.
Explore a skin consultation ↗Fine needles create controlled punctures that stimulate collagen production as the skin repairs. The aim is gradual improvement in appearance rather than an instant transformation.
Clinical microneedling can improve the appearance of acne scars, fine lines and uneven texture. Results depend on the condition, device and treatment plan. Improvements typically develop over weeks, with fuller changes taking months; a course may be needed.
Skin may look red or darker and feel warm, tender or swollen afterwards. These reactions often settle within days to a week. Follow your practitioner’s aftercare and discuss makeup, skincare and sun protection before treatment.
Benefit and recovery information: American Academy of Dermatology.
Discuss your health, medicines, allergies, any skin infection and previous healing problems. Microneedling is not suitable for everyone. Ask which device is being used, who performs the treatment and whether a new sterile needle cartridge is used for each session.
Numbing cream may be offered, but discomfort can still occur. Bleeding, bruising, peeling and irritation are possible; infection and pigment changes are less common risks. This guide covers conventional microneedling. Radiofrequency microneedling uses heat and has different risks.
02 / SKIN BOOSTERS
Hydrated-looking skin can feel like a lovely change. Injectable hyaluronic-acid skin treatments are one option to explore when skin quality is your focus.
Explore skin boosters ↗The term covers different injectable treatments. Many contain hyaluronic acid, but products vary. Ask exactly what is proposed; findings for one formulation do not automatically apply to another.
A 2023 systematic review found promising improvements across measures including hydration, texture and radiance, while calling for stronger clinical evidence. A 2025 meta-analysis found improvements in hydration and radiance, but no significant pooled improvement in elasticity or melanin index. More research is needed.
That makes a brighter, more hydrated appearance a possibility to discuss—not a promise of tighter skin, pigment correction or a facelift-like result.

Before committing, ask for the product name, what it is intended to do, the recommended course, total cost, likely recovery and review arrangements. There is no single schedule or duration that suits every product or person.
Hyaluronic-acid injections can cause swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness or lumps. Infection and allergic reactions are possible. Accidental injection into a blood vessel can cause serious complications, including tissue damage or vision loss. Ask how complications would be recognised and managed, and who to contact afterwards.
Risk depends on the formulation, injection technique and treatment area. Your clinician should explain the risks specific to the proposed product. These general HA injection risks do not establish that Alpina uses a particular product.
